We're a small editorial team based in the UK. Our goal is simple: cut through the noise of third-party resellers and help travellers find the right London Eye ticket for their trip — at official partner prices, charged in pounds sterling.
A quick history of the Eye
Conceived by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield as London's 21st-century Eiffel Tower, the London Eye opened to the public on 9 March 2000. Originally granted just five years of planning permission as a temporary millennium structure, its popularity made it permanent — and it has since become the UK's most popular paid visitor attraction, welcoming more guests each year than the Taj Mahal, Stonehenge or the Great Pyramids of Giza.
It stands 135 metres tall on the South Bank, carries up to 800 guests per rotation across 32 fully-enclosed pods, and is operated by Merlin Entertainments under the lastminute.com London Eye brand.
